Mazda’s new concept Taiki

At the international motor show in Tokyo, the company will introduce a new Mazda concept car Taiki, which continues the theme of Nagare, Mazda Ryuga, and Mazda Hakaze. Inside the car there is a premiere too- a rotary engine RENESIS of a new generation under the hood.
In developing the next generation engine RENESIS, Mazda engineers decided to increase its working volume of up to 1 600 cm3 (800 cm3 x 2), to raise efficiency and increase torque across the speed range. In doing so, Mazda’s engineers succeeded in further reducing the size of the engine and reduce its mass.

The Board of Japanese company Mazda is close to the decision to start developing a new compact roadster MX-2, which can be put into production in 2012, said a source inside the automakers.
